If you’ve been coming to the site regularly looking for info about what is happening at Mixed Media lately – you’ve probably been disappointed to find we haven’t been kind to the site. All sorts of things to blame for the neglect – but number one reason being the actual physical shop is keeping us very busy these days. Expecting lots of new product in the days to come in preparation for the fall season. We are also getting lots of actual building maintenance done while the weather is still nice. We got lots going on behind the scenes of the site too and you’ll be seeing new content starting this week – including a brand new products section which should make a few people happy to know what is actually in the shop. Also – expect very regular blog posts. Every time something new arrives in-store – we’ll let you know here. We’ll share some of our favourite links from time to time and also start posting more pics from around Mixed Media. Thanks for continuing to support the shop and we hope to see you soon!

Got a nice delivery from one of our neighbours today – the National Post newspaper weekend edition. Inside is a feature called “The Great Canadian Adventure” featuring “100 ways to fill your calendar this fall” and Mixed Media and the Art Crawl appear on the list as #43. “Buy supplies at Mixed Media, a terrific independent art shop in Hamilton, then head to James Street North for an Art Crawl, held every second Friday of the month.” Thanks to writer, Amy Rosen for including us on a fun list showcasing many interesting things to see and do in Canada!
